Celina Christian AcademyCelina Christian Academy will provide a standard of excellence that is Christ-centered provided in a traditional classroom setting. The emphasis will be on acquiring knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 2:1-6) and developing godly character. The A Beka curriculum includes science, arithmetic, social studies and Bible. We will enrich this curriculum with Spanish, drama, computer, library, art, music and chapel.

First Baptist Church has been blessed, so we have the responsibility to share
this blessing by taking God's Word to all parts of the earth. The Missions
Ministry seeks to obey the Great Commission with prayer, developing strategic
partnerships, involving people in short-term trips, and providing resources to
missionaries worldwide. The mission of our church is to reach beyond the walls
of our local congregation by evangelizing, discipling, assisting with church
planting, and aiding in relief and development—thus providing for both the
spiritual and physical needs of all of God's people.
In
June 1999 a cooperative agreement between the BGCT, Collin Baptist Association
and First Baptist Church of Celina was signed to begin a Hispanic mission work
in Celina. Over 400 Hispanics live in Celina. There was no other Hispanic work
here. A search for a Hispanic pastor began immediately. Also, we bought and old
church building three blocks off the town square (601 N. Ohio) in which to begin
the work. Soon after the church opened, a building program began. The church members
met in a portable building while the construction was under way. After about a
year of planning and hard work by many local people, a new church stood where
the old one had been for so long. Presently the church averages about 35 in
worship. The church also has a food pantry to minister to the Hispanic community.
We
are a come as you are church. We are so casual the pastor preaches in a cowboy
hat and jeans. We are committed to reaching the western heritage culture for our
Lord Jesus Christ.
