Kevin Lykins

Senior Pastor

I began my career in coaching at Texas A&M University as a student assistant and a graduate assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Kinesiology, I became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in January of 1992. In May of 1999, I was called into full-time ministry. I enrolled in seminary and began a pastorate at Pleasant Glade Baptist Church of Colleyville, Texas in November of that year. I graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages degree in December, 2003. In July of 2007, I was hired by Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I worked for FCA on the campus of Iowa State University where I was the campus director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served as the Chaplain for the ISU football team. On April 17, 2011, I accepted the call of God to become the pastor of FBC Celina and began my pastorate on May 8, 2011. My wife Marcy and I have three children, Delaney, Jake, and Ellie. In my spare time, I enjoy bow hunting, working out and watching college football. Gig ’em!

Lori Franklin

Children & Family Minister


Prior to coming to First Baptist Church Celina, I served as 1-3 Grade Director at the Plano Campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church, Minister to Preschool and Children at Southmont Baptist Church in Denton, and 4-6 Grade Coordinator at FBC Carrollton. I have also taught in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch and Ponder School Districts. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Elementary Education.

My husband Jay and I met while at the BSM at North Texas and have been married since 1984. We have a son Kevin, a daughter Stephanie, a son-in-law John, and two sweet grandchildren Kayleigh and Matthew.

My life verse is Romans 15:13. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
